Takeshi Hara is an accomplished journalist, author, and educator. He is dedicated to promoting environmental sustainability based on Japanese history and culture. There have been numerous of books that has been published by him about the environment. His developed passion is now towards his school, Waseda School of Environment (WSE). This school, in my opinion, will change how Japan treats the environment and there will be an increase of plantations so increase in the type of food that the Japanese may eat. The WSE hopes to establish "Environmental Japanology", which is modernization and cultural traditions in pursuit of a sustainable society.
